The Louisiana Integrated PolyEthylene Joint Venture hosted an Easter event on Saturday, March 25. Employees and their families were invited to participate in a day filled with free food, live music, and activities for all ages.
Guests were able to choose from two neighborhood food trucks for lunch and a mobile coffeehouse for a beverage and sweet treat. Activities included a petting zoo, facepainting, craft zone, pictures with the Easter bunny, and two egg hunts featuring more than 6,000 eggs, filled with treats, up for grabs. Eight golden eggs were also part of the hunt. Following tradition, special prizes were awarded to those that found a golden egg.
The planning committee for the event was excited to highlight local vendors for the Easter event. Featuring the services of local companies as the event vendors not only provided support for the local community, but hopefully created an opportunity for the vendors to expand their reach in the community through the interactions with our diverse and extensive workforce. With such a great turnout from employees and their families, the planning committee is hopeful that this can be an annual activity and a way to spotlight local organizations in the community.
